Project Description:
Fox developed improvement plans for the reconstruction of several thousand linear feet of water main and sanitary sewer main in the Town of Emmitsburg, Maryland. The water main located various areas of Town including the Emmit Gardens subdivision, South Seton Avenue as well as Route 140 and Mountain View Road near the Town’s western service boundary have all been undertaken as a means of improving the Towns water distribution system. The sewer main replacement along Flat Run, Little Run and South Seton Ave. have all been necessary as a means of reducing sanitary sewer inflow and infiltration.
Little Run Sanitary Sewer Replacement:
Fox provided hydraulic modeling and design of sanitary sewer system to replace 3,000 linear feet of deteriorated sanitary sewer pipe in Emmitsburg, Maryland, and obtained approvals from local agencies and a wetland and waterway construction permit from the Maryland Department of the Environment.
Mountain View Road Waterline Replacement:
Fox designed a new watermain system to replace 3,000 linear feet of undersized watermain pipe in Emmitsburg, Maryland.
Brookfield Pressure Reducing Station:
Fox prepared design services to bring a high pressure zone to the Brookfield and Pembroke subdivisions. These subdivisions are located at the high point of the Towns water system and periodically encountered low water pressure. The pressure reducing valves are designed to maintain constant pressure to this area.
South Seton Avenue Water and Sewer Replacement
Fox designed public water and sanitary sewer system improvements along South Seton Ave. to replace 900 linear feet of undersized watermain pipe and 2,400 linear feet of deteriorated sanitary sewer pipe in Emmitsburg, Maryland.
Emmit Gardens Water Replacement
Fox & Associates, Inc. provided engineering and surveying services of a new 8” and 10” watermain system to replace 3,500 linear feet of deteriorated watermain pipe in Emmitsburg, Maryland.
Flat Run Sewer Replacement
Fox conducted the engineering and surveying services of a new sanitary sewer to replace 1,700 linear feet of failing sanitary sewer pipe Emmitsburg, Maryland to help reduce I & I problems.
