Project Description:
Fox & Associates, Inc. was retained by Frederick County D.U.S.W.M. to perform miscellaneous survey and engineering services for water and sewer facilities throughout Frederick County. This was a 3-year / $ 300,000.00 open end contract with three additional one year extensions.
Under the contract, Fox & Associates, Inc. prepared surveys, construction plans, and easement plats for a variety of water and sewer main extension projects primarily in the eastern part of Frederick County. Two of these projects included obtaining MDE/ACOE permitting for disturbance to non-tidal wetlands.
Our largest project performed under this contract was the East County Water Interconnector Zone 3 loop. Our services included surveys, easement plats, and construction plans for 1,700 feet of 12″ diameter water main for the purpose of providing improved service to the New Market Region. This new water design was unique in that it paralleled an existing 16″ water main in order to create an additional pressure zone.
