Location: Hagerstown, Maryland
Project Description:
Rider Jet Center is a 25,500 S.F. expansion of the existing Hangar and Aircraft Maintenance Facility. The expansion provides 19,500 S.F of office space for Rider’s Fixed Base Operations and a 6,000 restaurant and lounge for airport users and the general public. Fox & Associates, Inc. provided all survey, planning and engineering design services for construction of Rider Jet Center. Fox provided close coordination with the developer and the architectural design team , the traffic engineers, and Washington County, Maryland staff throughout the design and construction. This project also required close coordination with Mr. David Rider and Airport officials.
Site Considerations:
- Coordination with airport officials and the Maryland State Highway Administration to obtain plan approval.
- Site design was also subject to FAA regulations due the proximity of Hagerstown Regional Airport (HGR); particularly the review of direct aircraft access and airspace restrictions for Runway 2/20.
- Processing of plans through Washington County Division of Plan Review and Permitting as well as the following review agencies: Washington County Health Department, Washington County Division of Environmental Management, City of Hagerstown Water Department, and the Natural Resource Conservation Services (NRCS).
